Prep Guide

What should I wear?

Boudoir is meant to make YOU feel and look your best. Everyone’s body is different, and different people find different looks sexy. A few of our favorite lingerie stores are Scandale and Maison Close. For a budget, you can also find a lot of revealing lingerie on Temu using search phrases like “sexy lingerie”. You’ll want to bring at least three or four outfits so you can change throughout the session.

What accessories should I bring?

Less is more for boudoir - simple jewelry, knee-high socks, oversized sweaters, men’s button-ups, etc.

What do I need to do to prepare?

Avoid tanning sprays/lotions - no matter how quality they may seem, the orange glow they all give is impossible to remove in editing.

3-5 days prior: Drink lots of water to hydrate your skin, and moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. Remove all tags (including permanent ones) from your lingerie.

2 days prior: Wax or shave if that’s your preference, and moisturize. Start avoiding alcohol and keep drinking water! Get a manicure or pedicure if that’s your thing, otherwise, ensure you trim/file/polish your fingernails and toenails.

1 day prior: Pack your bag with your lingerie, accessories, lotion, and anything else you might need. Also, moisturize!

Day of: Moisturize your whole body. Arrive with your makeup and hair prepped, and wear loose-fitting clothing and undergarments to avoid any impressions on your skin. Eat a light meal to ensure you’re comfortable but not bloated.
